HybiGerb is an innovative solution that allows the use of composite beams in multi-span static systems.
This connection system eliminates the previous problems of butt joints of steel beam ends such as the need for strict assembly tolerance and each time additional fire protection of an already made joint by an additional external fireproof plate or a fire-resistant coating.

Beam assembly tolerance
HybiGerb
- High tolerance of composite beam assembly – as for traditional reinforced concrete prefabricates (±20 mm)
- Possibility of increasing the tolerance to ±30 mm
- Load-bearing capacity of the connection for horizontal forces after the assembly of the entire beam system is completed
Conventional connection
- High assembly tolerance required (±5 mm)
- In case of error, it is necessary to repeat the assembly of the adjacent beam – extended construction time
- Necessary to immediately secure the bolted connection after assembly is completewy
Fire Resistance of the Connection
HybiGerb
- The load-bearing elements of the connection are completely covered with a concrete core
- Additional mineral wool protection plate to reduce the impact of temperature in the joint
Conventional connection
- Required protection of the connection on the construction site after assembly by means of an intumescent coating or
- Protection at the construction site by means of fire protection boards (eg. Promat)
